Marian University, Indianapolis, will host the PALNI, Inc. Board meeting at the Wheeler-Stokely Mansion on Tuesday, April 6, 2010. The business meeting will be followed by a luncheon celebrating the retirement of Robert Kaehr, Director of Library Services at RichLyn Library, Huntington University for 34 years.
Robert was a part of the original planning group for the PALNI Project almost 20 years ago. Initially Huntington University retained their stand-alone Dynix system and supported the project as a Resource Sharing member. When PALNI converted to the Ex Libris Aleph system (which is maintained by MCLS at our Indianapolis office), Huntington University became a full member and moved all of their library activities to the shared system.
Robert is fully engaged in Web2.0 functionality including Facebook and Twitter. He has a wonderful sense of humor, and he will be missed by the PALNI community. MCLS wishes Robert well in this new chapter of his life.
