AP Images is a research database that provides a sensory journey of photographs, audio sound bites, graphics, and full text spanning over 180 years of history as seen through the eyes of the Associated Press. AP Images now includes the including the
NEW AP Interactives module. Within AP Images, users can click the AP Interactives tab and explore topics in detail through interactive collections of multimedia content.
From simple keyword searching to more complex searches such as concept, color, and category, research is enhanced with over 7.2 million photographs dating back to 1825 and as current as a few moments ago; over 184,000 graphics including maps, timelines, logos and graphs; audio files dating from the 1920s up to the latest hourly newscasts; and full-text news stories dating from 1997. AP Images gives users the assurance of safe searching with no links to unknown, virus prone, or inappropriate content. And all content is primary source, fully-captioned, and licensed for educational use.
